The Spirit Land Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

Father thy wonders do not singly standA
Nor far removed where feet have seldom strayedB
Around us ever lies the enchanted landA
In marvels rich to thine own sons displayedB
In finding thee are all things round us foundC
In losing thee are all things lost besideD
Ears have we but in vain strange voices soundC
And to our eyes the vision is deniedD
We wander in the country far remoteE
Mid tombs and ruined piles in death to dwellF
Or on the records of past greatness doteE
And for a buried soul the living sellF
While on our path bewildered falls the nightG
That ne'er returns us to the fields of lightG
