The Robin Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

Thou need'st not flutter from thy half built nestA
Whene'er thou hear'st man's hurrying feet go byB
Fearing his eye for harm may on thee restA
Or he thy young unfinished cottage spyB
All will not heed thee on that swinging boughC
Nor care that round thy shelter spring the leavesD
Nor watch thee on the pool's wet margin nowC
For clay to plaster straws thy cunning weavesD
All will not hear thy sweet out pouring joyE
That with morn's stillness blends the voice of songF
For over anxious cares their souls employE
That else upon thy music borne alongF
And the light wings of heart ascending prayerG
Had learned that Heaven is pleased thy simple joys to shareG
