The Robe Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

Each naked branch the yellow leaf or brownA
The rugged rock and death deformed plainB
Lie white beneath the winter's feathery downA
Nor doth a spot unsightly now remainB
On sheltering roof on man himself it fallsC
But him no robe not spotless snow makes cleanD
Beneath his corse like spirit ever callsC
That on it too may fall the heavenly screenD
But all in vain its guilt can never hideE
From the quick spirit's heart deep searching eyeF
There barren plains and caverns yawning wideE
Ever lie naked to the passer byF
Nor can one thought deformed the presence shunG
But to the spirit's gaze stands bright as in the sunG
