Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFGFGHHI sit within my room and joy to find | A |
That Thou who always lov'st art with me here | B |
That I am never left by Thee behind | A |
But by thyself Thou keep'st me ever near | C |
The fire burns brighter when with Thee I look | D |
And seems a kinder servant sent to me | E |
With gladder heart I read thy holy book | D |
Because thou art the eyes by which I see | E |
This aged chair that table watch and door | F |
Around in ready service ever wait | G |
Nor can I ask of Thee a menial more | F |
To fill the measure of my large estate | G |
For Thou thyself with all a father's care | H |
Where'er I turn art ever with me there | H |
