The Living God Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

There is no death with Thee each plant and treeA
In living haste their stems push onward stillB
The pointed blade each rooted trunk we seeA
In various movement all attest thy willB
The vine must die when its long race is runC
The tree must fall when it no more can riseD
The worm has at its root his task begunC
And hour by hour his steady labor pliesD
Nor man can pause but in thy will must growE
And as his roots within more deep extendF
He shall o'er sons of sons his branches throwE
And to the latest born his shadows lendF
Nor know in thee disease nor length of daysG
But lift his head forever in thy praiseG
