The Jew Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEFGFGHH

Thou art more deadly than the Jew of oldA
Thou hast his weapons hidden in thy speechB
And though thy hand from me thou dost withholdA
They pierce where sword and spear could never reachB
Thou hast me fenced about with thorny talkC
To pierce my soul with anguish while I hearD
And while amid thy populous streets I walkC
I feel at every step the entering spearE
Go cleanse thy lying mouth of all its guileF
That from the will within thee ever flowsG
Go cleanse the temple thou dost now defileF
Then shall I cease to feel thy heavy blowsG
And come and tread with me the path of peaceH
And from thy brother's harm forever ceaseH
