Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDEFGFGHH

I thank thee Father that the night is nearA
When I this conscious being may resignB
Whose only task thy words of love to hearC
And in thy acts to find each act of mineB
A task too great to give a child like meD
The myriad handed labors of the dayE
Too many for my closing eyes to seeD
Thy words too frequent for my tongue to sayE
Yet when thou see'st me burthened by thy loveF
Each other gift more lovely then appearsG
For dark robed night comes hovering from aboveF
And all thine other gifts to me endearsG
And while within her darkened couch I sleepH
Thine eyes untired above will constant vigils keepH
