Faith Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGGThere is no faith the mountain stands within | A |
Still unrebuked its summit reaches heaven | B |
And every action adds its load of sin | A |
For every action wants the little leaven | B |
There is no prayer it is but empty sound | C |
That stirs with frequent breath the yielding air | D |
With every pulse they are more strongly bound | C |
Who make the blood of goats the voice of prayer | D |
Oh heal them heal them Father with thy word | E |
Their sins cry out to thee from every side | F |
From son and sire from slave and master heard | E |
Their voices fill the desert country wide | F |
And bid thee hasten to relieve and save | G |
By him who rose triumphant o'er the grave | G |
