Enoch Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG| I looked to find a man who walked with God | A |
| Like the translated patriarch of old | B |
| Though gladdened millions on His footstool trod | A |
| Yet none with him did such sweet converse hold | B |
| I heard the wind in low complaint go by | C |
| That none his melodies like him could hear | D |
| Day unto day spoke wisdom from on high | C |
| Yet none like David turned a willing ear | D |
| God walked alone unhonored through the earth | E |
| For Him no heart built temple open stood | F |
| The soul forgetful of her nobler birth | E |
| Had hewn him lofty shrines of stone and wood | F |
| And left unfinished and in ruins still | G |
| The only temple he delights to fill | G |
