The Place Of The Damned Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGHCCII

All folks who pretend to religion and graceA
Allow there's a HELL but dispute of the placeA
But if HELL may by logical rules be definedB
The place of the damned I'll tell you my mindB
Wherever the damned do chiefly aboundC
Most certainly there is HELL to be foundC
Damned poets damned critics damned blockheads damned knavesD
Damned senators bribed damned prostitute slavesD
Damned lawyers and judges damned lords and damned squiresE
Damned spies and informers damned friends and damned liarsE
Damned villains corrupted in every stationF
Damned time serving priests all over the nationF
And into the bargain I'll readily give youG
Damned ignorant prelates and counsellors privyH
Then let us no longer by parsons be flammedC
For we know by these marks the place of the damnedC
And HELL to be sure is at Paris or RomeI
How happy for us that it is not at homeI
