The Hardship Upon The Ladies Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCDEE

Poor ladies though their business be to playA
'Tis hard they must be busy night and dayA
Why should they want the privilege of menB
Nor take some small diversions now and thenB
Had women been the makers of our lawsC
And why they were not I can see no causeD
The men should slave at cards from morn to nightE
And female pleasures be to read and writeE
