The Garden Plot Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDEEFBGHII

When Naboth's vineyard look'd so fineA
The king cried out 'Would this were mine 'B
And yet no reason could prevailC
To bring the owner to a saleC
Jezebel saw with haughty prideD
How Ahab grieved to be deniedD
And thus accosted him with scornE
'Shall Naboth make a monarch mournE
A king and weep The ground's your ownF
I'll vest the garden in the crown 'B
With that she hatch'd a plot and madeG
Poor Naboth answer with his headH
And when his harmless blood was spiltI
The ground became his forfeit guiltI
