On A Candle Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGHHIIJJ KKLLMMIINNDDOOPPKKQQ RRSSTTUUVWXXII

Of all inhabitants on earthA
To man alone I owe my birthA
And yet the cow the sheep the beeB
Are all my parents more than heB
I a virtue strange and rareC
Make the fairest look more fairC
And myself which yet is rarerD
Growing old grow still the fairerD
Like sots alone I'm dull enoughE
When dosed with smoke and smear'd with snuffE
But in the midst of mirth and wineF
I with double lustre shineF
Emblem of the Fair am IG
Polish'd neck and radiant eyeG
In my eye my greatest graceH
Emblem of the Cyclops' raceH
Metals I like them subdueI
Slave like them to Vulcan tooI
Emblem of a monarch oldJ
Wise and glorious to beholdJ
Wasted he appears and paleK
Watching for the public wealK
Emblem of the bashful dameL
That in secret feeds her flameL
Often aiding to impartM
All the secrets of her heartM
Various is my bulk and hueI
Big like Bess and small like SueI
Now brown and burnish'd like a nutN
At other times a very slutN
Often fair and soft and tenderD
Taper tall and smooth and slenderD
Like Flora deck'd with various flowersO
Like Phoebus guardian of the hoursO
But whatever be my dressP
Greater be my size or lessP
Swelling be my shape or smallK
Like thyself I shine in allK
Clouded if my face is seenQ
My complexion wan and greenQ
Languid like a love sick maidR
Steel affords me present aidR
Soon or late my date is doneS
As my thread of life is spunS
Yet to cut the fatal threadT
Oft revives my drooping headT
Yet I perish in my primeU
Seldom by the death of timeU
Die like lovers as they gazeV
Die for those I live to pleaseW
Pine unpitied to my urnX
Nor warm the fair for whom I burnX
Unpitied unlamented tooI
Die like all that look on youI
