A Description Of The Morning Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGHHII

Now hardly here and there an hackney coachA
Appearing show'd the ruddy morn's approachA
Now Betty from her master's bed has flownB
And softly stole to discompose her ownB
The slipshod prentice from his master's doorC
Had par'd the dirt and sprinkled round the floorC
Now Moll had whirl'd her mop with dext'rous airsD
Prepar'd to scrub the entry and the stairsD
The youth with broomy stumps began to traceE
The kennel edge where wheels had worn the placeE
The small coal man was heard with cadence deepF
'Til drown'd in shriller notes of chimney sweepF
Duns at his lordships gate began to meetG
And brickdust Moll had scream'd through half the streetG
The turnkey now his flock returning seesH
Duly let out a nights to steal for feesH
The watchful bailiffs take their silent standsI
And school boys lag with satchels in their handsI
