Can you really forget your father,
The man who made your mother a mother,
The one who set you free,
On a journey for survival,
I know they ain't all that sweet,
Life isn't all that sweet,
But a father can be loving,
If he had someone he called daddy too,
Fathers,
Some of you hate them,
I loved mine,
Fathers are humans too,
With feelings like you and me,
But if you live in a ghetto,
How much food can you get to eat,
If he didn't have a life,
How much love can he give,
It takes a man
to be a man,
It takes more than a soul to be a father,
I had mine,
He had twice the soul,
But what if he wasn't a man,
Some would say of theirs,
But life to you,
Even if you deny the truth,
There are facts you can't deny,
That every man
Is his father,
But some fathers
Ain't that much of a son's father,
And you hate him for that,
Like really hate him,
But why hate the man
Who gave you life,
There are so many reasons to give,
But can you really hate the man
Or just the person he is.
