Thou sleepest too long thou art beguiledA

Lie still quoth she my paramourB
Lie still hardily and take a napC
His head was heavy such was his hapC
All drowsy dreaming drowned in sleepD
That of his love he took no keepD
With hey lullay etcE

With ba ba ba and bas bas basF
She cherished him both cheek and chinG
That he wist never where he wasF
He had forgotten all deadly sinG
He wanted wit her love to winG
He trusted her payment and lost all his payH
She left him sleeping and stale awayH
With hey lullay etcE

The rivers rough the waters wanI
She spar egrave d not to wet her feetJ
She waded over she found a manK

What dreamest thou drunkard drowsy pateM
Thy lust and liking is from thee goneN

Behold thou liest luggard aloneO
Well may thou sigh well may thou groanO
To deal with her so cowardlyP
Ywis pole hatchet she bleared thine eyeQ
