By storms on a perilous deep | L |
But cannot be possibly lost | K |
For Jesus has charge of the ship | M |
Though billows and winds are enraged | N |
And threaten to make us their sport | O |
This pilot his word has engaged | N |
To bring us in safety to port | O |

If sometimes we struggle alone | P |
And he is withdrawn from our view | Q |
It makes us more willing to own | P |
We nothing without him can do | Q |
Then Satan our hopes would assail | R |
But Jesus is still within call | S |
And when our poor efforts quite fail | R |
He comes in good time and does all | S |

Unless we thy presence perceive | U |
O save us we cry or we sink | T |
We would but we cannot believe | U |
