The Night Cometh Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBA AABC AABBAC

Cometh the night The wind falls lowA
The trees swing slowly to and froA
Around the church the headstones greyB
Cluster like children strayed awayB
But found again and folded soA
-
No chiding look doth she bestowA
If she is glad they cannot knowA
If ill or well they spend their dayB
Cometh the nightC
-
Singing or sad intent they goA
They do not see the shadows growA
There yet is time they lightly sayB
Before our work aside we layB
Their task is but half done and loA
Cometh the nightC
