Nay grieve not that ye can no honour giveD
To these poor bones that presently must beE
But carrion since I have sought to liveF
Upon God's earth as He hath guided meE
I shall not lack Where would ye have me lieG
High heaven is higher than cathedral naveH
Do men paint chancels fairer than the skyG
Beside the darkened lake they made his graveH
Below the altar of the hills and nightI
Swung incense clouds of mist in creeping linesJ
That twisted through the tree trunks where the lightI
Groped through the arches of the silent pinesJ
And he beside the lonely path he trodK
Lay tombed in splendour in the House of GodK
