The Mountains Of Meran At Sunrise Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE FGFG HIHI JKJK LMNM

Like snow white tents their tapering formsA
Indent the western skyB
The jewelled gifts of countless stormsA
Upon their summits lieB
-
The sinking moon with fading scarsC
Hath touched their frosty spiresD
Around them pale the wearied starsC
Like waning bivouac firesE
-
Stray cloudlets reddening one by oneF
Like rose leaves half unfurledG
Announce the coming of the sunF
To an awakening worldG
-
The chief peak now hath caught the glowH
And soft o'er sloping wallsI
And buttresses of dazzling snowH
The flood of splendor fallsI
-
While miles of tender pink and goldJ
Incrust the blue of spaceK
And bands of amethyst enfoldJ
Each mountain's massive baseK
-
Gone are the tents that pierced the skiesL
But in their place more fairM
Transfigured flowers of ParadiseN
Bloom in the crystal airM
