Gladly I turn from the roar of the crowd | G |
Hand of the beggar and purse of the proud | G |
Gladly go back to the humming of bees | H |
Carols of birds and the whisper of trees | H |
Gladly dispense with the voices of men | I |
Thankful to hear only Nature again | I |

Into the cool quiet reaches of space | J |
Rid of Society's glittering chains | K |
Fleeing a prison and finding the plains | K |
Far from the clangor of murderous cars | L |
Losing the limelight but gaining the stars | L |

Others may struggle to rectify wrong | M |
Strive with the strenuous laugh with the gay | F |
