At the gate he turned and waved his hand | B |
Then plunged once more in the sordid fray | A |
Whose strain she could not understand | B |

Yes he is gone and they are here | K |
And now the purse he died to fill | L |
Will keep them well for many a year | M |
Of course submissive to God's will | L |

One victim more in the cruel race | N |
With rivals he himself despised | O |
For children who can ne'er replace | N |
