In November Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF GHGIJJ KJKJLL MJMJNN

Under my trees of green and goldA
I stroll in the soft autumnal daysB
With never a hint of winter's coldA
Though the mountain sides are a brilliant mazeB
Which spreads from the gleaming lake belowC
To gild the edge of the distant snowC
-
Closed are the stately inns once moreD
Flown like the birds is the latest guestE
Many have gone to a southern shoreD
Some to the east and some to the westE
But the smiling landlords count their gainsF
And we know well that the best remainsF
-
For the walls are lined with precious booksG
And the hearth and home are always hereH
And the garden hath a score of nooksG
Where flowers bloom throughout the yearI
And now that the restless crowd is goneJ
I hear the flute of my rustic FaunJ
-
Why should I grieve if from my treesK
The gorgeous leaves fall one by oneJ
Through the clearer space with greater easeK
I feel the warmth of the genial sunJ
And though the plane trees stand bereftL
The pines and cypresses are leftL
-
Does the gay world leave us Well good byeM
It will come again perhaps too soonJ
We have the mountains lake and skyM
And solitude is a precious boonJ
Yet the falling leaves so fair and fleetN
Their memory after all is sweetN
