Autumn In Meran Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF EGEG HIHI JKJK

The vintage time is gone but not its gloryA
The grapes are garnered from their leafy gloomB
Yet miles of vineyards story crowning storyA
Cover the hillsides with a golden bloomB
-
The vine clad terraces descend the mountainsC
Like cascades rippling with resplendent goldD
Steeped in the sun and fed by sweet voiced fountainsC
Tyrolean slopes a paradise unfoldD
-
Above the vines the mountain sides are blendingE
The oaks' and maples' multicolored glowF
In variegated zones their hues ascendingE
From radiant roses to eternal snowF
-
Now here now there through brilliant foliage peepingE
A ruined castle seeks its walls to hideG
High on some lonely crag in silence sleepingE
Left centuries since by history's ebbing tideG
-
In sparkling foam the beryl colored riverH
Laughs in the sunshine between tinted wallsI
While on the cliffs the scarlet creepers shiverH
Chilled by the breeze as sunset's shadow fallsI
-
Still in the valley Summer reigns victoriousJ
Though Winter's silvery sheen creeps slowly downK
Land of the vine and snow at all times gloriousJ
In Autumn wearest thou thy fairest crownK
