After The Vintage Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

How can my vineyard's charm be toldA
As it basks in the autumn hazeB
The Frost King's touch so light and coldA
Like that of the Persian king of oldA
Hath turned its roof from green to goldA
Till the hillside seems ablazeB
-
Threading its maze of arbors fairC
Under its saffron bowersD
I watch in the crisp November airC
Through vine framed openings here and thereC
The ivied walls of castles rareC
And ruined Roman towersD
-
Sapphire blue is the cloudless skyE
White are the mountain wallsF
Rainbow hued are the tints that lieE
Lavishly spread on the forests highE
Where leaves by millions flame and dieE
As the chill of Autumn fallsF
-
Over the slopes in sun and shadeG
The terraced vines descendH
Like stately steps of a broad cascadeG
Or an amphitheatre's seats arrayedG
In folds of sumptuous gold brocadeG
Where red and amber blendH
-
I love to see from the rising sunI
Each terrace gain its crownJ
When the splendid dawn hath just begunI
From the crest of the mountain it hath wonI
To gild the vine rows one by oneI
As the mellow glow creeps downJ
-
And when the day's receding lightK
Deserts the vale belowL
I trace its noiseless upward flightK
Through darkening zones of foliage brightK
Till all the world is lost in nightK
Save pyramids of snowL
