Love's Prayer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABA CDCDC EFEFE GBGBG HIHIH

If Heaven would hear my prayerA
My dearest wish would beB
Thy sorrows not to shareA
But take them all on meB
If Heaven would hear my prayerA
-
I'd beg with prayers and sighsC
That never a tear might flowD
From out thy lovely eyesC
If Heaven might grant it soD
Mine be the tears and sighsC
-
No cloud thy brow should coverE
But smiles each other chaseF
From lips to eyes all overE
Thy sweet and sunny faceF
The clouds my heart should coverE
-
That all thy path be lightG
Let darkness fall on meB
If all thy days be brightG
Mine black as night could beB
My love would light my nightG
-
For thou art more than lifeH
And if our fate should setI
Life and my love at strifeH
How could I then forgetI
I love thee more than lifeH
