Boudoir Prophecies Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCDDA EEFFAAF AAFFAGGHFA

One day in the TuileriesA
When a southwest Spanish breezeA
Brought scandalous news of the QueenB
The fair proud Empress saidC
My good friend loses her headC
If matters go on this wayD
I shall see her shopping some dayD
In the Boulevard des CapucinesA
-
The saying swiftly wentE
To the Place of the OrientE
And the stout Queen sneered Ah wellF
You are proud and prude ma belleF
But I think I will hazard a guessA
I shall see you one day playing chessA
With the Cure of CarabanchelF
-
Both ladies though not over wiseA
Were lucky in propheciesA
For the Boulevard shopmen wellF
Know the form of stout IsabelF
As she buys her modes de ParisA
And after Sedan in despairG
The Empress prude and fairG
Went to visit Madame sa MereH
In her villa at CarabanchelF
But the Queen was not there to seeA
