Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB CCCC DEAE

Life burns us up like fireA
And Song goes up in flameB
The radiant body smouldersC
To the ashes whence it cameB
-
Out of things it risesC
With a mouth that laughs and singsC
Backward it fades and faltersC
Into the char of thingsC
-
Yet soars a voice above itD
Love is holy and strongE
The best of us foreverA
Escapes in Love and SongE
