Response Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAABCDDCCEEFF

Beside that milestone where the level sunA
Nigh unto setting sheds his last low raysB
On word and work irrevocably doneA
Life's blending threads of good and ill outspunA
I hear O friends your words of cheer and praiseB
Half doubtful if myself or otherwiseC
Like him who in the old Arabian jokeD
A beggar slept and crowned Caliph wokeD
Thanks not the less With not unglad surpriseC
I see my life work through your partial eyesC
Assured in giving to my home taught songsE
A higher value than of right belongsE
You do but read between the written linesF
The finer grace of unfulfilled designsF
