Overruled Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGHH IIJJ

The threads our hands in blindness spinA
No self determined plan weaves inA
The shuttle of the unseen powersB
Works out a pattern not as oursB
-
Ah small the choice of him who singsC
What sound shall leave the smitten stringsC
Fate holds and guides the hand of artD
The singer's is the servant's partD
-
The wind harp chooses not the toneE
That through its trembling threads is blownE
The patient organ cannot guessF
What hand its passive keys shall pressF
-
Through wish resolve and act our willG
Is moved by undreamed forces stillG
And no man measures in advanceH
His strength with untried circumstanceH
-
As streams take hue from shade and sunI
As runs the life the song must runI
But glad or sad to His good endJ
God grant the varying notes may tendJ
