At Last Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD AEAE FGFG GHGH IJIJ AKAK

When on my day of life the night is fallingA
And in the winds from unsunned spaces blownB
I hear far voices out of darkness callingA
My feet to paths unknownB
-
Thou who hast made my home of life so pleasantC
Leave not its tenant when its walls decayD
O Love Divine O Helper ever presentC
Be Thou my strength and stayD
-
Be near me when all else is from me driftingA
Earth sky home's pictures days of shade and shineE
And kindly faces to my own upliftingA
The love which answers mineE
-
I have but Thee my Father let Thy spiritF
Be with me then to comfort and upholdG
No gate of pearl no branch of palm I meritF
Nor street of shining goldG
-
Suffice it if my good and ill unreckonedG
And both forgiven through Thy abounding graceH
I find myself by hands familiar beckonedG
Unto my fitting placeH
-
Some humble door among Thy many mansionsI
Some sheltering shade where sin and striving ceaseJ
And flows forever through heaven's green expansionsI
The river of Thy peaceJ
-
There from the music round about me stealingA
I fain would learn the new and holy songK
And find at last beneath Thy trees of healingA
The life for which I longK
