The Crowns Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCADD DDABCEB FDGHIJB

Cherry and pear are whiteA
Their snows lie sprinkled on the land like lightA
On darkness shedB
Far off and nearC
The orchards toss their crowns of delightA
And the sun casts downD
Another shining crownD
-
The wind tears and throws downD
Petal by petal the crownD
Of cherry and pear till the earth is whiteA
And all the brightness is shedB
In the orchards far off and nearC
That tossed by the road and under the green hillE
And the wind is fledB
-
Far far off the windF
Has shaken downD
A brightness that was as the brightness of cherry or pearG
When the orchards shine in the sunH
Oh there is no more fairnessI
Since this rarenessJ
The radiant blossom of English earth is deadB
