Stay Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACCAADDAAAEEAFFDG GFHA

Stay thou desired one stayA
Brighten the curious darkness of the worldB
Cold through the chill dark swings the sleeping worldB
Sense heavy dreaming dully of clear dayA
No moon no stars no sound of wind or seasC
Wearily sleeping in immense uneaseC
Dreams dreams the world of dayA
Stay thou adored one stayA
Who on the dark hang'st lamps of gold delightD
Gold flames amid the purple pit of nightD
Stay stayA
Who the cool dawn's most lovely grayA
Mak'st lovelier with rose of far awayA
Stay thou who buildest wonder of things meanE
More truly so they're seenE
Stay nay fly not nay stayA
Youth gone remain thou yet and yetF
Though the world spin in darkness and forgetF
The lightD
Stay thou whose coming's joy and flight despairG
Thou unimaginably more than fairG
Brief unsustainable strange dream stay yetF
Lamping the world's close unsustainable darkH
With golden unimaginable dayA
