Stars Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGF HAIA JBJB

The naked stars deep beyond deepA
Burn purely through the nerv d nightB
Over the narrow sleepA
Of men tired of lightB
-
Deep within deep as clouds behindC
Huge grey clouds hidden gleaming riseD
Untroubled by sharp windC
In cold desert skiesD
-
Cold deserts now with infinite hostE
Of gathered spears at watch o'er smallF
Armies of men lostG
In glooms funerealF
-
O bitter light all threatening starsH
O tired ghosts of men that sleepA
After stern mortal warsI
'Neath skies chill and steepA
-
These mortal hills this flickering seaJ
This shadowy and thoughtful nightB
Throb with infinityJ
Burn with immortal lightB
