I Heard A Voice Upon The Window Beat Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBABA CDDCDC EFFFFF

I heard a voice upon the window beatA
And then grow dim grow stillB
Opening I saw the snowy sillB
Marked with the robin's feetA
Chill was the air and chillB
The thoughts that in my bosom beatA
-
I thought of all that wide and hopeless snowC
Crusting the frozen landsD
Of small birds that in famished bandsD
A chill and silent growC
And how Earth's myriad handsD
Clutched only hills of frosted snowC
-
And then I thought of Love that beat and criedE
Famishing at my breastF
How I by chilling care distrestF
Denied him and Love diedF
O with what sore unrestF
Love's ghost woke with the bird that criedF
