English Hills Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDD EFGHH EHIJJ EKLMM ACNOO

O that I wereA
Where breaks the pure cold lightB
On English hillsC
And peewits rising cryD
And gray is all the skyD
-
Or at evening thereE
When the faint slow light staysF
And far belowG
Sleeps the last lingering soundH
And night leans all roundH
-
O then O thereE
'Tis English haunted groundH
The diligent starsI
Creep out watch and smileJ
The wise moon lingers awhileJ
-
For surely thereE
Heroic shapes are movingK
Visible thoughtsL
Passions things divineM
Clear beneath clear star shineM
-
O that I wereA
Again on English hillsC
Seeing betweenN
Laborious villagesO
Her cool dark lovelinessO
