Beyond The Barn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAAC DBEEF GBHHI IBJJK KBLLI IBAAM NBOOB

I rose up with the sunA
And climbed the hillB
I saw the white mists runA
And shadows runA
Down into hollow woodsC
-
I went with the white cloudsD
That swept the hillB
A wind struck the low hedge treesE
And clustering treesE
And rocked in each tall elmF
-
The long afternoon was calmG
When down the hillB
I came and felt the air coolH
The shadows coolH
And I walked on footsoreI
-
Saying But two hours moreI
Then the last hillB
Surely this road I knowJ
These hills I knowJ
All the unknown is knownK
-
And that barn black and loneK
High on the hillB
There the long road endsL
The long day endsL
And travelling is overI
-
Nor thought nor travelling's overI
Here on the hillB
The black barn is a shivering ruinA
A windy cold ruinA
I must go on and onM
-
Where often my thought has goneN
Up hill down hillB
Beyond this ruin of TimeO
Forgetting TimeO
I must follow my thought stillB
