Asking Forgiveness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCD EFEFCD GHGHII

I did not say Yes we had better partA
Since love is over or must be suppressedB
I did not say I'll hold you in my heartA
Saint like and in the thought of your thought restB
And pray for you and wish you happinessC
In a better love than mineD
-
I was another man to another womanE
Tears falling or burnt dry were nothing thenF
I struck your heart I struck your mind inhumanE
Future and past I stabbed and stabbed againF
Cursing the very thought of your happinessC
In another love than mineD
-
Then left you sick to death and I like deathG
It was a broken body bore me awayH
A broken mind poisoned by my own breathG
And love self poisoned Was it but yesterdayH
Forgive forgive forgive forgive forgiveI
ForgiveI
