Lines To The Memory Of Mrs. B ---- Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFEF GCGA

Ah stranger if thy pilgrim footsteps loveA
By meditation led to wander hereB
A suff'ring husband may thy pity moveC
Who weeps the loss of all his soul holds dearD
-
Cold as this mourning marble is that heartE
Which Virtue warm'd with pure and gen'rous heatF
Which to each checquer'd scene could joy impartE
Nor ceas'd to love until it ceas'd to beatF
-
Yet gentle spirit o'er thine early graveG
Shall Consolation like a seraph proveC
When Sickness clos'd thy faultless life she gaveG
Another angel to the realms aboveA
