The Spirit Of Prayer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AA BB CC DD BB EE FF

Wouldst thou have that good that blessed mindA
That is so much to heavenly things inclin'dA
-
That it aloft will soar and always beB
Contemplating on blest eternityB
-
That mind that never thinks itself at restC
But when it knows it is for ever blestC
-
That mind that can be here no more contentD
Than he that in the prison doth lamentD
-
That blessed mind that counts itself then freeB
When it can at the throne with Jesus beB
-
There to behold the mansions he preparesE
For such as be with him and his co heirsE
-
This mind is in the covenant of graceF
And shall be theirs that truly seek his faceF
