When understand my meaning by my wordsA
How sense of mercy unto faith affordsB
-
Both grace to sanctify and holy makeC
That soul that of forgiveness doth partakeC
-
Thus having briefly showed you what isD
The way of life or sanctity of blissE
-
I would not in conclusion have you thinkF
By what I say that Christian men should drinkF
-
In these my words with lightness or that theyG
Are now exempted from what every dayG
-
Their duty is No God doth still expectH
Yea doth command that they do not neglectH
-
To pray to read to hear and not dissentI
From being sober grave and diligentJ
-
In watching self denial and with fearK
To serve him all the time thou livest hereL
-
Indeed I have endeavoured to layG
Before your eyes the right and only wayG
-
Pardon to get and also holinessM
Without which never think that God will blessN
-
Thee with the kingdom he will give to thoseO
That Christ embrace and holy lives do chooseP
-
To live while here all others go astrayG
And shall in time to come be cast awayG
