The next word that I would unto thee sayA
Is how thou mayst attain without delayA
-
Those blessed graces and that holinessB
Thou dost with so much godly zeal expressC
-
Thy love to and thy longing to enjoyD
That sins and weakness might thee less annoyD
-
Know then as I have hinted heretoforeE
And shall now speak unto a little moreE
-
All graces in the person of the SonF
Are by the Father hid and therefore noneF
-
Can them obtain but they who with him closeG
All others graceless are but only thoseH
-
For of his fullness 'tis that we receiveI
And grace for grace let no man then deceiveI
-
Himself or others with a feigned showJ
Of holiness if Jesus they eschewK
-
When he ascended to his Father thenL
It was that he received gifts for menL
-
Faith hope and love true zeal an upright heartM
Right humbleness of mind and every partM
-
Of what the word of life counts holinessB
God then laid up in him that we redressC
-
And help might have who do unto him flyN
For righteousness and gospel sanctityO
