Under The River Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE

CLEAR and bright from the snowy heightA
The joyous stream to the plain descendedB
Rich sands of gold were washed and rolledC
To the turbid marsh where its pure life endedB
-
From stainless snow to the moor belowD
The heart like the brook has a waning missionE
The buried dream in life's sluggish streamF
Is the golden sand of our young ambitionE
