To My Little Blanid Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEBFDGBHB

I told her a story a fairy storyA
My little daughter with eyes of blueB
And with clear wide gaze as the splendours brightenedC
She always asked me 'Oh is it true 'D
Always that word when the wonder reached herE
She pictured beauty so grand and newB
When the good were paid and the evil punishedF
Still with soft insistent 'Is it true 'D
Ah late drear knowledge from sin and sorrowG
How will you answer and answer trueB
Her wistful doubt of the happy endingH
Wise child I wondered how much she knewB
