Night Poetry 2 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIHJKLK

Oh no I would not love againA
E'en had I still the power givenB
I would not risk its pain and fearsC
E'en though its joys were taste of heavenB
A breath may blight the heart we prizeD
A whisper weave deceit around itE
And then our heart's most tender chordF
Is wounded by the chain that bound itE
-
'Tis hard to see death's chilling handG
The life strings of our treasure severH
But harder still when loving heartsI
Are rudely rent apart for everH
But ah such griefs are naught to thoseJ
That fill the heart where passion burnedK
Till falsehood burst the mask and showedL
That love by heartless scorn returnedK
