Night Poetry 2 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIHJKLK| Oh no I would not love again | A |
| E'en had I still the power given | B |
| I would not risk its pain and fears | C |
| E'en though its joys were taste of heaven | B |
| A breath may blight the heart we prize | D |
| A whisper weave deceit around it | E |
| And then our heart's most tender chord | F |
| Is wounded by the chain that bound it | E |
| - | |
| 'Tis hard to see death's chilling hand | G |
| The life strings of our treasure sever | H |
| But harder still when loving hearts | I |
| Are rudely rent apart for ever | H |
| But ah such griefs are naught to those | J |
| That fill the heart where passion burned | K |
| Till falsehood burst the mask and showed | L |
| That love by heartless scorn returned | K |
