Rhyme Scheme: A B CAD E ED F G GFH I IH J K KJL M ML

SISTER of the first born lightA
-
Type of sorrowing gentlenessB
-
Quivering mists in silv'ry dressC
Float around thy features brightA
When thy gentle foot is heardD
-
From the day closed caverns thenE
-
Wake the mournful ghosts of menE
I too wake and each night birdD
-
O'er a field of boundless spanF
-
Looks thy gaze both far and wideG
-
Raise me upwards to thy sideG
Grant this to a raving manF
And to heights of rapture raisedH
-
Let the knight so crafty peepI
-
At his maiden while asleepI
Through her lattice window glazedH
-
Soon the bliss of this sweet viewJ
-
Pangs by distance caused allaysK
-
And I gather all thy raysK
And my look I sharpen tooJ
Round her unveil'd limbs I seeL
-
Brighter still become the glowM
-
And she draws me down belowM
As Endymion once drew theeL
