The Loving One Writes Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCABBADEFDEF

THE look that thy sweet eyes on mine impressA
The pledge thy lips to mine convey the kissB
He who like me hath knowledge sure of thisB
Can he in aught beside find happinessC
Removed from thee friend sever'd in distressA
These thoughts I vainly struggle to dismissB
They still return to that one hour of blissB
The only one then tears my grief confessA
But unawares the tear makes haste to dryD
He loves methinks e'en to these glades so stillE
And shalt not thou to distant lands extendF
Receive the murmurs of his loving sighD
My only joy on earth is in thy willE
Thy kindly will tow'rd me a token sendF
