The Frogs Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AA BCC B DDEE

A POOL was once congeal'd with frostA
The frogs in its deep waters lostA
-
No longer dared to croak or springB
But promised being half asleepC
If suffer'd to the air to creepC
-
As very nightingales to singB
-
A thaw dissolved the ice so strongD
They proudly steer'd themselves alongD
When landed squatted on the shoreE
And croak'd as loudly as beforeE
