Songs Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEEFF

SONGS are like painted window panesA
In darkness wrapp'd the church remainsA
If from the market place we view itB
Thus sees the ignoramus through itB
No wonder that he deems it tameC
And all his life 'twill be the sameC
-
But let us now inside repairD
And greet the holy Chapel thereD
At once the whole seems clear and brightE
Each ornament is bathed in lightE
And fraught with meaning to the sightE
God's children thus your fortune prizeF
Be edified and feast your eyesF
