On The Lake Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BC BD ED E FG H H I JI JB KB K

I DRINK fresh nourishment new bloodA
-
From out this world more freeB
The Nature is so kind and goodC
-
That to her breast clasps meB
The billows toss our bark on highD
-
And with our oars keep timeE
While cloudy mountains tow'rd the skyD
-
Before our progress climbE
-
Say mine eye why sink'st thou downF
Golden visions are ye flownG
-
Hence thou dream tho' golden twin'dH
-
Here too love and life I findH
-
Over the waters are blinkingI
-
Many a thousand fair starJ
Gentle mists are drinkingI
-
Round the horizon afarJ
Round the shady creek lightlyB
-
Morning zephyrs awakeK
And the ripen'd fruit brightlyB
-
Mirrors itself in the lakeK
